j/k

but either you arent into the higher level techniques or are really lucky (or cautious)

I did a really poor backhand opening last night and burried about a 1/4" of the tip of my 42 into my right palm. It didn't bleed for too long but it feels like a really bad bruise today. I do auto-body work and custom interior work so everything I did at work today made me remember the puncture.

I've never been cut, but that's because I've only manipulated cheap "made in china" butterflies (I call them that because they are not worthy of the term balisong). They couldn't hold an edge at all.

AHHH I cut myself at my dorm room the other week just closing my cheapie Jag. blood shot out of my finger all over. I got a pre-med in my dorm to bandage it (lucky) but I didnt get stitches. Funny...I have no feeling in the tip of my finger now...

"Catch you on the flip side"!

Me too. I started with a dull knife, and my Jag broke before I could do something crazy with it.

i've cut myself many a time; mostly from learning new moves and attempting difficult ones (like thumb roll-overs and complicated aerials)

If your not making mistakes (cutting yourself) mabe your not learning a hole lot eather. In my experience new cuts always come with new manipulations, and as you get better at the new moves your hand start to heal a little, and you repeat the process. What a visous cycle- sure is fun though.

Arials are the only techniques I have to worry about getting cut (or stabbed, what out for the tip on those 42's

"I see you played knifie spoonie before..."

My friend tossed me my BM42!!! It sliced a nice 1/2 inch cut along my wrist.

Hey i didnt want to drop my 42!

When I first got back in to knives, my first Emersons cut my hands two or three good times. They bleed quite a bit. After that now when I cut my hand or finger now, hardly any if any at all comes out. It's as if my brain knows not to bleed out my hands any more, it's pretty curious.

demic, I cut my finger at the knucle years ago and still haven't re-gained all of the feeling in the tip. Probably never will. The most embarassing part is that I was making a ham sandwich when I got cut.

HI ..

You are indeed a chosen one for never being cut ...

Got cut so many times. Lemme describe:

1. from my waved handle Taiwan 420 bali: twice at my middle finger just near the nail base. Cause: the safe handle was too tight, I ended up grasping at the blade while the other handle flied out (the blade stayed stuck at the safe handle)

2. from my 5" Taiwan bowie, it flew out of my right hand, and not wanting it to hit the floor, I caught it with my left. The bite handle came, my thumb, the blade than the safe handle. Outch. Got a Nike like scar on my thumb

3. Stabbed my left thigh near the knee using my black PC International weehawk while doing slashing at mosquitos in the bathroom. It is fun looking at the quitos sliced half at the thorax, sometimes beheaded but mostly half of the abdomens ...

Am I a freak?

If you play / practice finger twirling thousand times a day, your index finger and middle finger wil be fully comvered by scars. They are not made by the edge, but pinching skin between handles, or between handle and blade back will "explode" from inside. They seldom bleed, but you can call it "cuts".

I guess half of bandaid consumption among BF members must be done HERE!
