Hi Folks,

I want everyone to give a big welcome to Don, this forum's new co-moderator. Wileen stopped having access to a computer a while ago and has been very busy since her move and engagement. So she really had no time for this forum as many of you already probably can tell because she stopped posting a long time ago.

Lately, I have become very busy and I can use the help here because I have not been able to be on line as often as I once was. I think that Don is a great addition to this place, he already moderates over at the JSP Bladerigger forum. Those of you who were here back when this forum was at Knifeforums probably remember Don when he moderated the Political Forum at KFC.

I feel that Don is a great choice because he is one of the biggest contributers to tactical discussions, the FMA's have a special place in his heart and many of you already know him. I thought that Don would be a great addition here.

Sorry I didn't see your earlier post asking me about Wileen till now, Donna...having to work and do life stuff while fighting the flu kinda cuts into my penchant for logging online...my apologies for not responding sooner...hope your training's going well!

Greetings and Thanks for a warm reception.

As Donna said, I hold these arts close to my heart. They're lifesaving arts.

I think what Donna wishes from me is to ease the load when it comes to creating something good and interesting here in this Forum while she goes through a busy transition time in her own private life.

She also wants the tactical end to be expanded and woven into the fabric of these arts.

This Forum basically is going to moderate itself, we just want to have a good exchange of information.

Judge brings up an interesting piece of information, an observation actually. There has been a receiving line of folks as of late around this Forum and others. The tone has been negative with regard to anyone who would dare use force, or anything in their minds that they do not approve of, to defend yourself.

When these misguided people eyeball The Filipino Combat Arts Forum, they should pay careful attention to the name.

Because I do respect these arts, and the people who are involved in them, even though I may disagree with little things some might say or do, I will not find myself in a position to defend Combat Disciplines in a venue where they are supposed to thrive. I feel no need to defend the very existence of these Arts.

Excellent choice, Donna! And congrats, Don! With your ever practical mindset when it comes to combat, I think that you are definitely the right man for the job. I look forward to many great discussions on this forum.

Cool! In charge and in stride. I think this means we will be reading more from you, and that is a very good thing. We got Cougar Sensei pretty lit up lately too. I really like the way the attitude is shifting. The really passionate people are getting fired up defending their warrior life styles, and the trolls are getting the recognition they deserve.

It's gonna' be a great year.
