I'm on another Slipjoint tear these days... Tracy is a dude that I've been watching for a little while over on some of the Facebook slippy groups. Couple months ago I reached out to him and jumped on the list, I was particularly impressed with his hamon work in slip joints... So that's what I got, check it out:

OAL: 7.5"
Closed: ~4.5"
Steel: W2
Weight: 3.7oz

This is Mr. LaRock's TimberJack pattern, originally designed for a lumberjack... It's a beast of a slip joint..

The real rockstar of the show is Tracy's blade. The Hamon is beautiful... and the edge... Well it's molecular, it's horrifyingly sharp. Slip with this one, and you'll require a tourniquet, not a band aid.

Excellent fit and finish on the blade and spring.

The handle finish is immaculate, zero tactile perception between the two materials, or at the pins, all edges are nice and contoured. It's just a great knife all the way around.

And my two newest slippies being buddies... Thanks guys, hope you enjoy!

Been seeing a lot of faux-lsters on knives these days and I really like the look. A gorgeous pair.

I love that Harmon line! I have never seen that on a slipjoint before, it's an interesting feature.

in before the lock ;) Jk really enjoy your posts Aaron, outstanding Hamon on this one and glad to see you get back into slipjoints :)

That blade and hamon is killer! Thanks for introducing this maker to me. I'll have to check his work out.

Beautiful knife.
Please notice the backsquare, it's hardened in the corner that is the point of contact with the spring. This feature will prevent that corner from mushrooming in the long run.
I bet also the other corners of the tang are left in the hardened state and will show their little hamon. They can slide on the sprin without galling.
very, very nice!

For those of you wondering if, Tracy LaRock Has what it takes to run with the Big Dogs of Custom Slip JointS... Wonder NO MORE! His work is absolutely SUPERB! Fit, Finish, Walk and Talk are amazing. Not to mention the Beautiful Hamon AND THE WICKED Sharp Edge the W2 steel took. Everyone should have a Custom LaRock in their Collection!
