Great to have you here. You will find that the members here ask the tough questions, but also are a wealth of info about what will sell and what won't (since we're buying a good percentage anyway !).

Now for my sugggestion.

Proverbs 18:6 says:

"A man's gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men."

Soooo....

How about a good old Giveaway Contest to get this forum off to a running start ?

Welcome to Bladeforums. Just like going to an old-country synagogue, on the walk up to the door, you see the beggars outside looking for charity.

Well, anything you want to give away, I'll take! From my Ultra-Lock Tanto to my Vaquero Grande, and a few more in between, I know Cold Steel knives. I'm glad to see you here.

Hmmmmm, a giveaway eh?
Sure would love to see a Trailmaster under my Christmas tree this year. Been dying to beat the hell out of one of those badboys.

Forget it guys...I ALREADY tried the "free knife" thing over at KnifeForums with Steve, and NO LUCK with that one, either.

Silly me.

I figured for the cost (and I mean COST, not dealer cost, not retail cost - COST) of one measly product (many CS products RETAIL at < $50) a manufacturer could attract a lot of folks to check out their new forum, and establish some goodwill among several hundred (thousand ?) very enthusiastic and free-spending customers. What better demographic could a knife manufacturere hope to reach, and how much cheaper could one possibly do it ??

However, Lynn, Steve, et al, it's your business and you run it however you want. I look forward to making this forum another of my regular stops here at BFC. Again, Best of luck to you.

I wholeheartedly agree with the above statement.
Either way though, it is good to see Cold Steel step up to the plate. Looking forward to future exchange of info/ideas.
