He'll probably slap me for this, but I noticed Mike made a post on here.

I have the good fortune to be able to call Mike a friend and teacher. He is one of a very few bladesmiths that comes VERY close to approaching perfection in his knives.

I know he doesn't like to type too much, but I'm sure where he sees fit he can post on something. And you should definitely listen if he does.

For those that don't know, Mike is a Mastersmith.

Not kissing a$$, just welcoming a friend to this big shenanigan.

Nick, Steve bragged him up big-time to me today. I regrettably have not seen the post you speak of but hope he writes here often.

Thanks for the kind words Nick, I'll send you a roll of toilet paper for Christmas. So you can keep your nose clean. And who is the Tom Mayo guy? Does he build knives?

Hey! Looky who's here, wonderful!

(Now I'll have to out 'brown' Nick. But where to start, Michael's knives really are that nice and don't need an introduction. Hmmm..... here's an idea.)

Well, Nick, you know about his knives. But he's also a lady killer. Kind of a cross between Steve McQueen and Harrison Ford. He can't even go into Visalia for beer without getting mobbed by 20 somethings. And his house is always getting broken into by girls looking for hair clippings.

Even my oldest daughter has his posters up in her room. Michael this, Michael that...

He and his lovely wife had me over a while back for the weekend and treated me VERY good..
Mike does great work, and is a hell of a guy..:cool: :D

Mayo will you stop the spelling monitor routine already? Hell you mispell stuff all the time!:p :rolleyes: :D Maybe thats why you mostly use Emoticons??:confused:
 
I have also benefitted from Mike's generosity and knowledge. Thanks Mike. And I did try to call, but no answer. Will try again soon.

Welcome to Shop Talk Michael.

Michael, I am still working on the guard and pommel for the MS collab dagger. Sava hasnt sent the fluted oosic for it yet.

Michael will make the throat and tip sheath for it. This dagger will be auctioned off next year at ABS

Welcome to the crew, Mike! Seems like those other guys already cornered the market on the T. paper, so I will will just sit by and enjoy your posts and input. Looking forward to them very much, by the way!
 
Thanks Bruce, was wondering where that was. And John most of what I have to say gets said before I can get it typed. Not a big fan of this funny typwriter. Be gone for a week. Going to Colorado for the big turkey day. Everybody out there, you all have a great holiday.
