Good evening friends. I thought you might like a peek into my tiny little shop. My friend Remi is a sparky so I asked his help building my etching machine. In payment, I promised him a knife, and he selected an EDChef 5, with black and orange scales and an orange sheath, so he can take it camping without fear of losing it. In this video, you will see a portion of the sheath making process. In addition, you will get a taste of a hobby of mine that used to consume a lot more time than it does now, making music. I call this piece by the very poetical name of "Project in G, Eb, F, 131 bpm" lol. It was too short for the footage I had so I looped it a few times with an instrument change partway. The whole sheath build is not in there, but a good chunk of it. Thanks for watching!

EDIT: Here is Remi's knife as of today, after he had a chance to come by and see the machine he helped me build (by doing most of the work!) in action:

That was a fun video. Well done. Your shop doesnt look as small as you described. I like your freestyle technique of carving the kydex. You seem very relaxed and comfortable making cuts without having to brace the sheath against something solid. Music was right for the video speed too.

Thanks for the kind words!

My shop has less than 6 feet by 6 feet of standing room.

A Tanto in progress with some royalty free electro house music I downloaded from YouTube. Last night my PC crashed while saving this file, so I am coming to you now from the limbo of "safe mode with networking" where audio drivers are but a dream. So I truly hope you enjoy this music video, which for me at the moment is nothing other than a silent movie.

The tanto was finished and mailed out last week. Here is what it looked like on the way out the door:
