Welcome to the Buck Holiday Tins Forum!

Well, my local Wally World still has not displayed any of the 112/Hoyt Buck Founders tins... :(

However, The Cheerleader has left a note saying that Wal-Mart #1909 has them in stock...

If my guess is correct, that store is ~ 50 minute drive away (one way), which would put the drive at ~$20 worth of gas...plus an 8% sales tax... :(

Add that to the $25 price (posted here), and time lost, and it is just not worth it, to me...

But since the 2005 110 tins are going for $25 + $6 postage on eBay (BIN), I think I'll wait until next year to get one from eBay...

I am waiting to here that your local Wally World has the tins. I hope they get them before January because I wont go though all the hassle of getting a passport just to get a good deal on a Buck. Ah well, not much point in whining. The world is what it is and there ain’t anything I can do to change it. Still, I will need to get the two 300s for the collection and the 112 is just too good to say no to.

Hi Trax..& All,

I Like these new tins for this year. It's funny that walmart stores across the US seem to put out items at their stores digressions. I bought one set of each.....yes I know I've crossed that line and knowingly bought some chiBucks and they are very nice. The 112 is also to cool for school as Goose would say!!!!! Check out the scans and run don't walk to Wally and get yours while the supplies last.......Ok....sorry for the sales pitch........But, we do have to promote our favorite knife maker ya know ;) .

What WW did you get that at?
Got plenty left?

Goose,

Suisun City & Vacaville has them in stock. Looks like they were sent a cardboard display. Its about the size of a half pallet.....But, only has the knife packs on the corners.......so maybe only 80 tins of each type. I dont know if they were sent multiple displays or not.

Your "Favorite Knife Maker" won't even email me what blade steel is available for upgrades... :grumpy:

Did they have those Remington sets out as well??? ;)

Hi Trax,

I don't know why our friends at the shop are so closed mouth about what steel is available......maybe they are embarrassed because they are out or low on stock!!!!! Yes they had the Remington set at the VV store but only about 4 tins of those left.

As of today the big super dooper mega city size Wal-Mart in Marion, Il. still has about 25 of the 112's, none of the other are out. Not sure if they all sold or if they are holding them back.

The Walmart in Hammond, Indiana does not have the holiday tins and probably will not stock them at all! They did not stock the 110 last year so why should this year be any different. The store is kinda jacked up anyway. I once waited 38 minutes to buy ammunition. During the wait the clerk did apologize when a manager showed up she asked where the keys were for the case. The clerk who was there all along had the keys. It seems at this walmart if a sporting goods employee does not feel comfortable doing a transaction involving ammunition they simply do not have to do it. I suppose they may not feel comfortable selling BUCK knife tins as well.

Off topic....Buckaholic, I think I am in love with your avatar...where can I find a gorgeous blond with big bazongas that fishes in a bikini???

Oh, and no tins in the Westminster, Colorado Wal-Mart yet.

Well......When a guy comes to the sheeples counter and introduces himself as "Deep6Osama" and tells the timid little clerk to get me bullets.......the clerk is probably standing in a warm puddle when the manager arrives. I don't even talk to the sales people in walmart......the ones in our store don't know where anything in their department is......it's so hard to find good help these days :p .

Our wal mart is also not stocking them, they are shrinking their sporting goods department (according to the manager) and they also removed and no longer sell firearms...I guess i have no other reason to shop at wal mart anymore :(:D :D :D

Buck just lost a blade upgrade sale...I spent the money on a Remington R-3 on eBay...Buck don't want my money...screw 'em!!!... :)
