welding sog throwing knife?

I got a set of three SOG throwing knives for christmas and there lots of fun. however one of the knives snapped right where the handle turns into the blade. do you guys think that given the very low hardness (51-53) i could mig weld it back together? or would the joint be to brittle for throwing?

It will just break again if you weld it back together. Send em' back in or find better throwers.

If you're looking at throwing knives in a similar price range the Gil hibben knives are gonna be a good bet for stronger knives that have less weak points. The SOGs are fun but the skeleton handles are generally weaker than solid handles. I think they'd be just as weak after a weld than before the weld.
