I'm new here (as you can see) and have had my first Becker for about a week now (BK2). I was very impressed with the feel and look of the knife and have already added micarta scales. Unfortunately I was only able to mess around with it in the house until today. I took some meat outdoors to make a fire and enjoy myself today and GOODNESS gracious the BK2 was so much fun to use. Processed some pecan with great ease (up to 5" diameter). I am honestly impressed with this knife and can see an addiction developing in the near future. I only wish I had stumbled upon these forums earlier in life. I'll remember to take pictures next time.
 
Welcomne to the forum. The BK-2 is an awesome blade. Take some time to get it nice and sharp and it will do fine work as well as the heavy lifting. Like you said it is fun to use.

We are going to need to see some pics of it in action and any mods you do. Just part to the deal here.

Welcome to the madness ! The bk11 was my first then the 2 and the 15. Okay...which Becker are you getting next ? We know you've been looking :D
 
I'll take some "after" pics of the blades first outing later tonight.
@emporervince How did you know? I have just ordered a bk14 for an everyday carry. By chance, do y'all know if those come in the epoxy-like powder coating like the bk2?

If you get one of the new ones, it will. Kind of depends on where you ordered and what they have in stock.
Tomar's shows the newer ones that are laser engraved, and their site states, "The knife is black epoxy powder coated for corrosion protection."

congrats on the bk2 waiting on my bk11 the 2 was my first as well. and i belive all the newer beckers have the epoxy coating.

How did I know ? Because its against the laws of nature to have just 1 Becker lol ! As for the other question..Guyon hit it right on the nose.
 
Welcome. I am new here as well and the 2 is my first. Got it on Xmas day. There is a a ton of info on any Becker you can think of, and these guys know it all. :D
