Just realized I have been in front of the 'puter long enough to amass 2k posts here on BF. My first love has always been "pocketknives" and I like giving them away. I was looking through the safe and found an oldie but goodie that someone may enjoy. It's an old medium stockman made for Craftsman. I believe they called it the "American Eagle" series. Likely a Schrade, but possibly Camillus. Best I can recollect I've had the knife at least 25 years and maybe more.

GAW is open to ALL EARTHLINGS and all I ask is that you have a genuine interest in older knives. I'll let this run until next Saturday and draw a random post#.

*We have many gracious members of the TRAD forum who have made it possible to ship worldwide.

The great randomizer has spoken! Congrats to jkulysses. Thanks to all those that entered & Bladeforums.

Congrats, RG, on the two grand in posts. Lately I have been on an old knife kick, last week buying a Buck Cadet of roughly the same vintage (1988).

I love the pattern, and really love the shield on your Craftsman. Count me in, please, my Cadet needs a cousin.

I love that knife & have been wanting an Old Timer medium stockman but this would fill that role perfectly. :) Great giveaway & the fact you have had it that many years & developed that patina over the years makes it even better. Thanks for the chance!

Well done Steve.I'm in.
Your mention of "puter" reminds of a Rugby trip I went on as the driver. Wollongong Vikings -Longhorns golden oldies team plus various other heathens make the trip to beautiful Tathra on the NSW south coast at the end of October every year. One year we had a big guy from England on board . He shall be known as Horse because he was formerly in the Horse Guards. As you can imagine there is much guzzling of beer on the way down. This year the beer was home brew in kegs . He was told to bring a pewter. When he turned up for "roll call" before we left he did not have a pewter. The organiser questioned him about his transgression and he said
"What do I need a *ookin' computer for on roogbeh trip?"
Fortunately he was given a spare and made good use of it. I still think we should have spanked him.
cheers.

That's a great knife. The brass shield is exceptional as well as the match strike pull on the main blade. Thanks for the opportunity.

I'm in. I know just the USMC WWII veteran that I would like to give it to for his birthday while he is still around to enjoy it.

Its so nice to have the forum. It has brought me so much enjoyment. Congrats on the 2k posts. I have a double interest in this giveaway. Love old traditional folders and I have worked for Sears for over twenty years and love to collect old Craftsman tools I usually find in pawn shops. This could combine both love of tools and knifes!

Not an entry, as I just picked up a similar Craftsman knife a few weeks ago, but a very nice knife and a very generous giveaway!

What a lovely stockman!

I would be happy to be considered for that lovely knife!

Thanks!

RetiredGuns, funny thing-- I thought of you often yesterday, and at one point as my uniformed son and I walked along I even reminded him of your good recommendation(s) when his brother asked for "a pocket knife" and how that led to Mini Copperlocks for all (I gave him one in stag, which he loves). :)

Then, I came here at the end of the day saw your name and this giveaway.

Thanks for your generosity!

(Not an entry.)

I like to collect some of the old Craftsman stuff. Don't have much, but I'd love to have this one. Count me in.

Congrats on your 2K! The stockman is one of my favorite patterns so I am going to have to take a shot at this one.
I'm in!
Thanks for the chance.
