YEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWW (im from west virginia i can say that!)

I got up this morning, prepared for work... was driving with wifey down the road, passed the fed-ex truck, busted an E-brake 180, chased the fed ex truck back to my house... got my hell razor... I havent had a lot of time to get a feel for it yet but my initial impressions are as follows:

Wow. Very light for its size, Excellent fit + finish, sharp! exceedingly comfortable and ergonomic grip (keep in mind i didnt have enough time to go chop something down), I like the choil quite a bit. Excellent balance from what ive seen so far.

Its official im addicted. cant wait for folder and FBM im so in!

rating prior to use based on 5 smiley rating system...
:D :D :D :D :D :D

Congrats on that Hell Razor :D . I have a SFNO and didn't feel I needed one because of the similar dimensions but I hear nothing but good things about the HR. The weight and feel being common comments. Maybe I should have pounced on one myself!

Congrats! The HR is an exceptional blade - my favorite carry field knife this last 2 months since I got one (or 2). The cutouts in the spine let you choke up very comfortably when you want to "turn" a big blade into a smaller one. Do a search on Busse forum, there's been quite a bit of talk about it the last 2 months.

i cant wait for the weekend, me and some trees have an appointment. might try building a lean-to on my parents farm... just for fun. lol.

Edit

Aaron, wow, i didnt know anyone else read Hagakure... its sitting on my desk as i type. lol.

Hi dt. It's a very interesting read to say the least. Something about Bushido and the Samurais has always fascinated me. If you want some recommendations on some other good reads, let me know. In the meantime, enjoy the HR and make sure to take some abuse/porn pics for us :D

I've got a HR I'll trade you for your SFNO. :D

Hey dt, here's a small list of some of my favorites. A couple of these are pretty hard to come by, but you should be able to get them through abebooks.com or something...

The Nobility of Failure by Ivan Morris
Lives of Master Swordsmen by Makoto Sugawara
Haga-kiri by Jack Seward
Legends of the Samurai by Hiroaki Sato
Memoirs of the Warrior Kumagai by Donald Richie

On a side note to your Tom Brown thread, just finished reading a great book called Into the Wild by John Krakauer. HAppy readings and happy chopping with that HR :)
