Got a package in the mail Saturday morning. I opened it to find this little guy...

Lots of goodies in the Box.

I got a BK14 a week or 2 ago and the wife liked it so I gave it to her and picked myself up the BK11. I use a bottle opener more than she does :)

But wait, there's more...
This eyesore has taunted me for years and with no good tools or even the desire to confront it, I let it grow, unchallenged.

Then I came upon this forum and found that I did not have to live with this anymore. I just needed the right tool.

A pitched battle ensued and less than an hour of sweat later we were victorious!

Thank you Ethan for your amazing knives. Without them, My family and I would have been at the mercy of this weedy menace for years to come.

Some sweet steel you have there. That tree looks much better too. ;)

once again, the King reigns supreme! Oh yeah!

I like the lil serrated River edition 11..... just an FYI..the serrations are quite a bit sharper somehow after stripping. Or on mine I noticed that at least

nice job and nice steel. i have a tree in the front of my house that gets these annoying berries every year. It has this one branch that hangs over the driveway and stains it when they fall. I was going to use an ax to chop it off but i may wait until i get a 9 or even better, a 4!

Way to put the king right to work. I know there's "proper tools" for a lot of jobs, but sometimes putting a Becker to work is much more satisfying.

Oh man, my next will definitely be a 9 or its bust... or another 2 for my brother, who nearly wet his pants upon seeing and feeling the beast :D. I think the 9 will be a nice compact tool for maintaining unkempt trails down here, nice reach.

Mine had a little like powder in between the serrations and on the blade. Like it had been tested on dry wall. haha It wiped right off. They were/are pretty sharp though. You are ALWAYS trying me to undress my knives.....

haha that's awesome! My BK9 does a great job replacing my branch trimmers as well! About a month ago I chopped up parts of the neighbors tree that was attacking my backyard (after many requests that the neighbor do something about it) with my BK9. The ease of the job shocked me. Also, it appeared as though the big knife convinced my neighbor to not try and stop me ;D

Nah he was ok with it, he's just a lazy bum and couldn't care less if I used his backyard to store scrap metal if I began to collect scrap metal.

ah, the infamous serrated BK11. i don't even have one :)

good job on clearing out that tree.

shame you stabbed the tree. that's going to kill it :) funguses and parasites will now fester in the bark. soon, in tree terms, it's a goner ;)

Not big on serrated blades, but I think I'll have to pick one of those up if I can find one.

Also, trees have sap. To prevent woodpeckers from killing them...

Neato. I want a serrated BK11. I EDC a serrated folder. The serrations helped me hack a deployed airbag off a steering wheel the other day in record time.

I can't stand serrations on anything other than a bread knife or a saw.... They're hard to make feather sticks with too.
