From waiting over 2 weeks for items that were in in stock,Im a little disappointed with khukri house(And still haven't received my parcel yet.).That being said Next khukri I get will be from Himalayan imports.

If you deal with H.I., the D-word will no longer be in your vocabulary. I've received most of my six H.I. knives in two days. That's from NV to VA. Every knife and every transaction have been a pleasure. I've dealt with many over the years. No one does business quite like Yangdu.

P.S. Six knives in a month, is that alot?

Second that opinion!

@diablero, I'm sure the guys and gals here on this forum can bring up stories topping six knives in a month (myself included :)).

The good thing about HI is if something messes up they will make it right and you won't be out tons of $$ sending it halfway across the globe.

You have come to the right place. You will be treated like family each and every time here. Yangdu pulls off some of the fastest shipping I have ever seen, and the quality of the khuks are second to none, the other one you have or will have from KH will not even compare to hers.

To be honest, the first nepalese khuk I got was from them. Took over 6 weeks to get (supposedly in stock, I was told that it was because of Dashain), the thing was built, but a really ugly beast with forge scale still on it and dulll as a mashed potato sandwich. The sheath got my hands wet with dye. There was a hitch in the sheath and the knife pierced the side of it the FIRST time I tried to put it in and kept trying to come out the side.

I heard about HI and got a Chitlangi. My brother in law was given "Beastly". He thinks it's the greatest thing in the world (duh, it was free to him). :)

Yangdu mailed my Kerambit last Thursday. I received it that Saturday. 2 days from NV to GA. No complaints.

I laugh at the mention of other kukhri brands.

My Villager WWII was $100 shipped. Looks nicer than anything in the price range, handmade, crazy sharp.

I only have two so far. But my wish list keeps growing.

I have 2 HI khuks (an 18" Villager WWII and 17" CAK) and got both knives within 3 days after Auntie Yangdu recived payment. Both are easily the toughest knives I currently own and some of the best knives around in this price range. Really the only thing you need to worry about is which khuk to get first.

Supposedly it shipped out of the khukri house today.....that's more than 2 weeks! It has to get to the carrier yet >.>

Every single HI blade I own was shipped either the day I emailed, or the next day. The longest I waited to receive anything from Yangdu (Or Uncle Bill, MHRIP) was 4 days, due to a Govt. holiday. The best shipping, best customer service, and best blades of this type. That's why I will likely never buy a khuk from anyone else, unless it's an HI from the original owner, (That probably sharked it before I could) or I find one at a gun show that I just "have" to have.

I'd love to pick up an HI, but shipping from the US to Hong Kong is expensive. Khukuri House ships from Nepal, so shipping only costs me $24. I have a Khukuri House Jungle Panawal that is actually pretty nice, and took a razor edge without much work. It did take a while, but it was perfect and they made a left-handed version for me.

I have bought from the store, DOD and direct ordered from 'The Computer Shack' via e mail. Service is Quick, courteous, professional and personal. Like shopping at a local store where people know you as apposed to a chain store where your processed to make room for the next one in line.

The product is excellent. If you have a problem it is made right fast.

I like HI and the way I am treated. I'm looking for any excuse to buy more. This morning I let my brother know he and my nephew are on the short list. Boy scouts is getting ready for the season and we will make sure they are well prepared for any Yettie attacks, should one come.

I don't know about the other guys stuff, I get what I need right here.

HI is the best IMO. All six of mine from Reno NV to CT in three days every time. The products are top notch to boot!

I'd have been willing to wait, anyway: I agree so strongly with what HI stands for, and have been so tickled by the company's products, service, and the people attached to it (take a bow, everyone!), that I honestly consider it a matter of principle to buy here!

Thanks Karda, I know the rates, but added to the price of HI Khukuris, that makes them extremely expensive for me. Being that I live in Asia, perhaps I should wait until I get across to Nepal to stock up on khukuris. :) I do agree with HI's philosophies and I've been ogling your khuks for years, but the price has kept me away.

Stick around and watch for the DOTD's, you'll find a bargain that catches your eye and the price+shipping+quality will be worth it. Believe me there are good reasons why H.I. is a little more expensive.
