...world of the HI forum! I'm new to this schtick, but you've seen some of my stuff here before me. I was the nut who blued the 21" GS with the three suns pattern. See the thread "Blued and Tottooed" by Uncle Bill...

This is the first list I've joined, and it promises to be an interesting one. Glad to see such an eclectic and diverse bunch of folks on the forum.

And now, A Question: How does one go about posting a pic?

Hi Keith. Glad you're here. Because I'm called a moderator I can post stuff directly to the forum. Since photopoint and zing folded I don't know where you can put pix for storage and referral. But, we have experts who know about such things and will sure to be around to help.

Are you referring to the use of "Ferrous" in my list-handle? If I am a chemist, I'd class myself more as a hack chemist. I've learned more about chemistry out of school than in it. I do use various chemical to apply art to steel and other metals, mostly copper derivatives.

Are you a chemist, Tohatchi-San?

ferrous wheel - a classic chemical joke that I believe someone made good on (they actually synthesized a wheel-shaped iron complex)

I believe firkin is an organic chemist.

I am a chemist by training, but currently teaching high school.

..and the welcome. I get the joke now. I also considered the silly title of "Ferrous Bueller."

Two ways to post a pic I know of:
- Upgrade your bladeforums membership to Premium. This will allow you to upload pics from your PC to your posts. Check this link for details. http://www.1sks.com/store/bladeforums-premium-gold.html

- If you have the image file somewhere on line you could make an image link to the file. This is described under adding images in the Bladeforums FAQ here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/misc.php?s=&action=bbcode

Hope that helps
