I am going pier fishing this weekend with my family and I sold the fillet knife I told myself I was going to keep.:grumpy: It happens every year at fishing season and when I go hunting. I end up selling the knife I plan to use. Am I the only one this happens to?

Haha...Frank, I've only got one of mine that I kept. I have decided absolutely NO more orders. From now on, I'm going to make a knife that I want to make, and if I want to sell it, I can; if I want to keep it, I can.

I think sometimes that the addiction of selling knives is just about as strong as the addiction of making knives.

You are right about selling them feeling addictive. I still have my first and so far only friction folder myself. I have three more orders to go and I am caught up, and I will try not to take any orders. I will do the same as you and keep me some kitchen, hunting and fishing knives.

I still don't have a knife for every day that I made for myself. I use Swiss army knife(folder) or utility Stanley with disposable blades. Have one old $6 fillet knife from Wallmart for fishing.

Luciano, a buddy of mine told me about some cacahoe lures, do you have any experience with those? Thanks for the good wishes!

I am familiar with the cocoho minnow soft plastic lure made by H & H. Depending on color, they can be used as a small mullet imitation. It is an old standby for a lot of folks. You rig it with a jighead like many other soft plastics like it.

Will you be fishing at night or during the day? If by night, there is a glow color minnow, if that is what you want to try. Cast out far past where the lights reach where the predators lie in wait and pretend you are a little injured and struggling minnow. The big trout will feel sorry for you and take you in their big mustard mouth to keep you safe. :D

Buena suerte!
