Ordered a full size Ritter grip and some Wilkins g10 scales today. Hope it'll all be here soon. Some will say I'm crazy but I sold my small Sebenza to buy this setup. Just couldn't fall in love with it. Maybe I'll try a large some day. Hopefully I like this new set up.

OUCH. I'm a die hard CRK guy so I teared up a little reading your OP. :p

My Doug Ritter Mini with the stonewashed SV30 is my favorite BM I've owned. It had a set of the swimming pool green Wilkins on it when I purchased it second hand. I loved the way it looked but my pocket clip had terrible retention with those grips. I had to bend it in some. I also found on the small I prefer the swollen stock grips to fill my hand. On the full size I'd prob like the flatter Wilkins.

Man, they sure do look great though. Love the color you got.

I loved the craftsmanship of the CRK but the size just didn't do it for me. My normal carry knife is a ZT 0566 so the grip should be a better size for me. I also carry a 940 and a 580.

I am also hoping to machine my own titanium scales for my final school project. I'm thinking they will be in a similar fashion as the Wilkins.

Well the knife got here. Not sure if this will be a issue of if it can be sharpened out. The bevel get super broad at the tip. The other side is nice an uniform. Do I keep it or return it?

I've seen at before and it was fixed (maybe just the sharpener was stronger on one hand than the other); you could also always reprofile it to a different angle.

By the way I've been checking back to see some eye candy!! Let's see her put together!

Sold your Sebenza to buy a Ritter

Nice,

Didn't sell the Sebenza for a Ritter just wasn't sure what I wanted and the Sebenza sold for the Right price. And I've always found custom grips to be cool just not in 154cm. The blade shape on the Ritter is also awesome.

I don't think you're crazy. But I'm biased.

This is my mini Ritter with black anodized aluminum Wilkins.

As for the grind on yours. If it's a user I think I'd just keep it. If it's going to be a safe queen like mine I'd send it back.

When I order knives now I ask them to check the grinds and centering. It saves me heartache later.

That's beautiful! Looks very "tactical" lol

That does look very sweet indeed.

How can one put the pivot in backwards? It fits the same either way doesn't it?
