Hi
I have made knives for years but they are mostly straight knives.

I decided that I would try, if you would like a look at it it is at

http://www.geocities.com/tajtiq/Butterflies.html

It is not polished much and the handles dont open all the way but I like it

Please dont be harsh it is supposed to look like a Klingon dktagh.

hehe... It reminds me of an evil Gumby. Seriously, it's a unique looking piece but unless you can get it closed, it's not completed. I'd also be afraid to carry that one around in my pocket because those outside points don't look like they'd feel to good jammed into my thigh.

I don't think I could have created anything that would equal that so congratulations on your first Bali creation.

it closes all right, it just doesnt open all the way.

it is about 9.5 inches overall.

Knifesmith: be harsh? That thing is awesome!! I love the unique look.

Handles look a bit plain, but nothing a high polish or satin finish couldn't change. Keep up the great work!

Also, I like how you put the bali on the mousepad the way you did.

You must be from Texas. Those are some of the biggest horns I've ever seen. I would suspect that they'd get in the way of manipulation.

Otherwise, it looks a better first attempt than most.
