It's okay, Jesse. We're all a little nuts here. After all, we are all the aflicted ones, the knife knuts.

With 200 bucks to spend, you can end up with a nice little working collection. Look them all over and buy what really hits you on a gut level. What really grabs your attention. After all, you are the only one that has to be happy with them. you can buy production, or go for the brass ring and get a nice custom slippy.

It's all your call. Be happy!

That's a tough call. You can't go wrong with KSF though. I had a problem and as soon as Derick caught wind of it he made it right. He's even shipping the replacement today and hasn't event recieved the knife I sent in yet. Nice guy.

For $200, you could get a Case, a Queen/S&M, and a GEC/Northfield/Tidioute.
Then you could compare them and start collecting the ones that "start your engine." Happy hunting!

Good advice, Jeff.

Anyone know how to ship to Canada. Can something be sent to Canada via USPS Priority Mail?

Waynorth would be a good source here.

USPS Priority will make it to Canada, but it is called International Priority, has somewhere in the neighborhood of double the cost, and it does not include any insurance, which concerns some shippers. Insurance puts it in the $20.00 to $25.00 range, and is somewhat of a show stopper. You can use the same Flat Rate Boxes as you get for domestic use. Customs papers have to be filled out. Printing online shipping labels is a little more convenient.

Many living close to the border will keep a PO Box in US to avoid these costs. I've also heard of crooked customs persons in some areas. I've sent up there 15 or 20 times and never had an issue other than slow as molasses.

Pawn more stuff and get a custom :) Seriously if you gave up buying a coffee or soft drink each day you could buy a very high end custom each year.

Receiving goods in Canada, via the post office, can be maddeningly frustrating. We have a slow and inefficient P.O, and it costs us way more than U.S.postage.
Customs adds to the delays. I ordered a 44-knife pouch from Shepherd Hills 5-6 years ago, and it took me 7 weeks to get it, because it was lost in Customs somewhere!!!
I pick up my knives etc. in the U.S. and take them manually through customs as suggested - it's the only sane way!!

Great advise, that's exactly what I did. Picked up a Case Chestnut CV sway back jack in BF's for sale forum for $40, a Queen Honey Amber full size Trapper for $52 and a GEC #73 Scout from KSF for $80. All three are great knives and combined, under your budget.

Jesse D. L. -- Do you have an address in the U.S. like waynorth has that can be used to ship a knife to you?

I don't have a US address no, just my canadian one. I won't be getting any more money than this unfortunately, not in the near future anyway, running on 200 a month atm since its hard finding a new job, this was just a bit of a fluke that I managed to rummage 200 together lol.

Ed, if you want to send something to the OP it's better to take it private via email or PM. Thanks.
