I posted this in the Swamp Rat forum but I figured that it'd be alright to post it here as well, there's definitely more traffic here.

Well, I think I'm an Addict-AND I LIKE IT !
As many of us have, I've lusted after a few Busse/Kin blades for a couple of years before finally taking the plunge. I wasn't after anything too extravagant, just an NMSFNO and a TGLB.
BUT
Then while trying to learn the ins and outs of all of the names and abbreviations of the different knives they've offered I ran into a few more that I wanted.
I ended up getting a nice deal on a standard Ratmandu with some Mashed Cat Kydex for my first. I absolutely love that knife. You've all heard it before but I have to say that it is one of the best "all around" knives there is. The only thing I'd change is to remove the choil but that's just a preference thing, I still love that knife!

The Second one I picked up was a sweet NMSFNO with some Kydex from the exchange. In short, it's everything I imagined it would be-damn sweet knife. Mine is the bronze, minus tattoo (thankfully, no offense Garth). I wasn't sure what I'd think of the color but when it showed up I was happy to find that I really like it. I look forward to using this knife at every excuse I can find. It came able to shave arm hair and has held that obtuse shaving edge perfectly. It is my first Infi and I'll never part with that one.

I followed that up with a sweet HRLM with some homemade kydex( mashed cat on the way ), I think it'd make a great hunting knife and may use it instead of my Nyala this season-if I can get it back from my Wife who also loves the little Rodent.

The ergo's of the HRLM and the Ratmandu handle are superb. I like that handle so much that I ended up getting my second piece of Infi-in a Swamp Rat-the infamous InfiDu. There's something to be said about the beauty of satin Infi and coyote G10. I haven't been able to bring myself to use this one yet due to its beauty but I bought it because I prefer uncoated blades and it's just a matter of time before I break it in.

I picked up a Prototype Tanto Mudd Mutt after that as a gift for my friend who's been helping me fix up my house since I had my shoulder replaced. It was the first time I laid hands on the resiprene handle and I have to admit that I like it a lot. I considered keeping it but it was bought with a purpose and I'm sure that he'll love it.

The most recent one is still en route, it's a Beefmandu with a swedge. I have some mashed cat Kydex coming for it and am very excited to get this one. I think that it'll make a great camp/hiking blade.

Well that does it for now, the TGLB is still on the list along with a Gladius and possibly a NMFSH.

I've bared my addiction for all of you Hogs, 6 knives in 8-9 weeks.
I know that some of you buy that many in a week but I'm still just a piglet😊

I'll try to update with photo's later, thanks for reading.

Nonsense --- there no time to lose . . . You must acquire the following:

1. Hellrazor
2. ASH-1
3. MOABOLO
4. FBM
5. AK-47
6. NMFSH
7. HHFSH
8. Everything else

Haha just kidding -- I'm sure you'll acquire more in good time. Cheers on your recent scores and can definitely agree with the phenomenal ergos of the Infidu, Ratmandu, HRLM, Mountainmandu

Oh, the Mountainmandu, I almost picked that one up several times.
I really like the tall blade and may eventually pick one up and tell my BRKT Golok to get to stepping.

I think that the ManlyDu would be a fun camp knife and kindling maker.

Have I mentioned that if I'm an addict of Busse steel that you guys are the enablers-that's why I like this sub forum😉

I've dealt with some of the best people on the forum since starting with the Busse knives. If reading the posts that all of you put up has shown me anything it's warned me that it's gonna get expensive, but that's ok😜

We're happy to welcome another to the family . . . All you need to do is forfeit your soul, your cash, and any quality alcohol -- the Boss Hog gets thiiiiirstay

I'm going to have to hop into the same boat that you're floating. It's tough to do the homework on what acronym means what or this and that without finding something else that you would like to at least hold and try.

That's the key however. Find a hog near you and see if you can do just that. Get em in your muddy hooves and see if it works for you. Saves time.

Good luck keeping a Balance in your bank, and off your credit card. Just won't happen.

You are not truly addicted till you have specified which Busse you are to be buried with !!!

Dint miss out on the B-13 if it ever makes it to production. In the meantime might I suggest the 1311? It's one of my all time favorites.

Thanks for the welcome.

Jerry can have the cash but he's gonna need a Butaniku or better to get my soul from where it's being held right now and an AK-47 ( of the automatic type ) to get my Hennessey or my Guinness 😎

If there are any Hog's North of Detroit that wanna show off their collection I'd be happy to meet up. I would've never found out about CRK ( my other habit ) without a buddy who's a forum member-us knife addicts have to stick together.

Only balance I have with the bank is the thin line I walk between paying bills and going into debt. The only way I'll have more balance at the bank is if they start offering Ti Chi classes.

Me...an addict? Just because I received an ASH1 yesterday, and will have ASH1 number 11 delivered on Monday. Those will go along with the twenty other (I think), Bussekins acquired during the last two years. And still looking right now for more. An addict? Hmmm...;-)

That's a lot of ASH, or should I say bad ASH. If you keep them in a trunk, ahh never mind, you can see where I'm going with that one.

Do you have a family shot of that monster collection?
I'd love to see it.

I dunno how many hogs are north of Detroit, but I remember hearing about a turty point buck... :D

What addiction? We can stop as soon as they bury us... ;)

Exactly!! Hahaha --- can't wait to get my hands on my TTKZ --- time to match up the NMFBM, TTKZ, and MOABOLO!

What addiction? I just want one of each model that comes out.
The addicted hogs buy multiples of each model Busse kin ever made. :(

Thanks Able1. Photo? I receive them too fast to photograph! Actually, don't have a working camera, and cell quality not that great. I have a friend that's a good photographer that usually comes here twice a year. May have to await that moment. If he waits until Christmas, I should have 23,094 more of them. Here's an old one...;-)
