I'm not new to knives, but I'm some what new to EKI. I got into EKI because of watching various interviews, with Mr. Emerson. I currently own only three, the: cqc7, Micro commander, and the mini a100. However I have a long "to get" list.
A lot of things have jumped out at me since getting into EKI. The are bad a$$, they have a great look, they look like the just want to be used and they are tanks.
I own a lot of different brands of knive from crkt to crk and all sorts in between. The unique thing to me is normally when I get a couple of knives from any given company, I'm good. Never been one to have 5 or 6 of from the same company.
With EKI every time I get one, I'm immediately thinking which one to get next. My micro commander and mini a 100 arrived together. I open them and play with them a while, first thing that goes through my head....now I've got to get the full a100 and the mini commander, and the regular commander and on and on.
Normally I would trade a giving model or sell to get whatever I'm wanting at that time. Not so much with the emerson's. I mean I'm a huge fan of these knives, and my wallet hates me.
Every Emerson leads to another one. Is there any stop to this madness? I see a lot of over time in my future.:(
:D

There's no stopping this madness. It only gets worse till you start to run out of models you desire. Even then, special editions and christmas specials are more common now not to mention a recent flood of offerings from EKI recently. I currently own/invested in 26 of them and I'm still thinking about the next one. I got it bad!

I've said it before, but I've sold off my collection of 70 or so knives and have only Emersons now except for one Strider. They just click with me and as long as they are in business I'll be a customer. It's not just the knives, the customer service is second to none. Seriously, they are the best. Not to mention Ernest is an awesome guy and truly cares about his customers.

I know exactly what you mean I have had several brands such crk, strider, and benchmade. I always end up selling or trading them for other emersons I haven't had to deal with they're customer service because I've never had any issues with any of there knives but I'm confident if I did, it would be impressive.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I recently sold off my last Chris Reeve for more Ernie dough. Only a few non-EKI's left, a Mini AFCK that I do really love, and a D/A Vallotton Sub-Hilt Spydie that I got directly from Butch, but not much else I can think of.

I too have been infected with this new "Emerson Fever" that's been going around.

So far, I've got in my coffers a Super Karambit, Combat Karambit, CQC-8, CQC-7A and 7B, and CQC Karambit.

i haven't actually started buying full on emersons, but have a couple of kershaw vers, which are already superb, can't imagine the actualy ones, but the a100s have caught my eye, and not to mention the Xmas models...

Wow, 3 outta' 6 Kbits, that's pretty unique. I can see why though, they are very cool.

Take the plunge, you'll end up ditching the others.

Emerson, Strider and Spyderco.
My Emerson gets most pocket time.
Welcome.
