After a bit of sitting on the sidelines, I've signed up for a chat with all you guys. I don't know how many are UK based or if you're all in the States or Canada, but it's all about axes and hawks on here I gather?

I've just brought three nice Norse hawks for competition and home throwing, but will make them a bit more nicer looking with some adornment to the head and handle. I'm just wondering what colour handle would look nice, and authentic with a Norse hawk?

We're mostly in the US with a number scattered around Europe. Fair number of Canadians. Aussies and Kiwis come and go.

Canadian here. Only hawks I’ve done are a few Norlunds. For a Norse hawk I’d go dark wood stain. Real dark.

Welcome! I’m from the PNW in the states.
Recently I purchased an old Moss & Gamble hammer head from Sheffield England.
It was shipped in a paper envelope which arrived empty, with a hole in the side and no hammer head.
