Cut myself really good with my first knife. Not that I have never cut myself, but NEVER this good... I made my first ever and was whittling whatever I could get my hands on to see how well it holds an edge. Don't even know exactly what I was doing at the time that caused it to slip, but it did. Cut me on the side of the 1st knuckle of my left hand. Pretty sure it went down to the bone. Saw some white peaking through from the bottom when I opened it up... Really clean cut though
At first I was like ....
Then I looked at the cut and realized it didn't hurt and wasn't bleeding, yet...
Now its closed up pretty well and will prob leave a clean scar.
On the bright side, the edge retention is exceptional for my first ever knife. I didn't cut myself until almost 45 mins of whittling, and it still shaves hair. :thumbdn:
Anyway, not that anyone cares, but I wanted to share. I'm sure similar things have happened to others, and after 20+ years of handling knives, it was bound to happen sooner or later.... complacency is a killer
