I have heard the lore round these parts, but I never thought it would happen to me. I mean, I am usually so careful. I always keep my eyes on the task at hand. But than it happened. My loyal peanut jumped up and bit me, took a nice clean slice right off of my finger! I feel betrayed, but humbled by her...
A little over a year ago I got my first nut...chestnut brown in CV. After carrying it for 11 months, I started to get the itch again. I've always been a sucker for amber bone and living in Portland, Oregon the idea of a stainless nut to get me through the work day sounded like a good idea. When my amber bone nut arrived I was little disappointed in the edge. Sure it was sharp, but I could feel a bur and the grind was a touch uneven. After carrying it for about a month and a half I decided to take it to the sharpmaker...and thats when it happened. After putting the edge through a good old fashioned paper test, I went to close her up and put her back in my pocket...and BAM! she got me. I'm impressed with her newfound tenacity and I am looking forward to putting her edge to good use!

Here she is from her "good" side...
