I have a Griptilian. I love it.
But the play always comes back and it is very annoying.
Ive tried Teflon Tape. 8 wraps around even.
It comes back.
So today, when I leave for work in 30 minutes, I'm going to stop and get some Blue Loctite.
I have NO IDEA how to use it. Even slightly. I've never held it, seen it, smelled it, nothing. :D
So, I want to use my knife hard, and flick it open as well.
How much, where, and when do I use it?
How long to sit? (24 hours, right?)

Keep in mind, a little goes a long way. Use the blue threadlocker, and not the red. Follow the instructions on the package for best results.

Sometimes Axis lock designs will develop a bit of blade play with enough repeated openings and closings; I've put blue loctite on two 710s and a 730 for that very reason.

You'll want to pick up a set of torx wrenches if you don't already have them and then get the pivot adjusted to where you want it (I think BM usually uses a T10 size pivot screw but I could be wrong). After you've got the right combination of no bladeplay/ease of opening where you want it, just put a couple of drops of the loctite around the edge of the head of the pivot screw. Let it sit for ten or fifteen minutes, then get a paper towel and wipe up any excess. Then, as you say, it'll need to sit for a while. I'm not exactly sure how long, though 24 hours is certainly more than enough.

I know some people back the screws out enough to actually put the loctite on the threads when they do this, but I've never had a problem again with just adjusting it to where I want and then putting the loctite around the head of the screw at the pivot.

ETA: +1 on RevDevil; you won't need much.

Remove the pivot screw and clean it well, I use acetone and a tooth brush, use a folded over pipe cleaner/acetone to clean the female side. Once dry, apply a small dot of Loctite(with a tooth pick) on one side of the screw and re-install/adjust the screw. Let it sit for 24 hrs for best results.
