I pulled the trigger and purchased a Small Insingo from Knife Art. After having my hopes all but crushed of being able to order a Micarta inlay Insingo directly from CRK, I told myself I was just going to pass on the Sebenza all together. I just find myself continuously going to Knife Art and drooling over the Insingo for some reason. If they had a Small Micarta in stock, I would have very likely ordered it as well, and done a handle swap, but they don't.. I guess at this point I'm just going to decide if the Insingo is everything I've hoped, and if so, then I'll consider purchasing a Micarta and trying a handle swap. I know folks say you can't do that, because each set of handles is fitted to the blade. I just have a hard time believing it's not going to work. If I like the plain small Insingo, I will very likely do just that. I hope owning a small Sebbie this time will somehow be different than the last time I owned one several years ago. I guess back then, I was more into large knives. I think my tastes have changed a bit. At any rate, I already have more than enough larger 3.5" or better folders, so I really don't think I want a large Insingo at this time. Anyway, being in Afghanistan, it may be about 2 weeks before I get it, depending on where KnifeArt is located. I'll report back after I receive it. I really do wish it was a Micarta inlay though. I'm still baffled as to why CRK says they aren't set up to sell the Insingo in any other configuration than plain. They put inlay handles on Sebbie blades every single day. What's the difference with putting some on an Insingo blade?
