Well lookie what I found on the side of the road today...

It's an old, beaten up Leatherman Kick (yippee!!). I saw it off of the highway coming home today. It's got a few rust spots that I'm gonna put some NEVR-DULL and/or Maas to. Then I'll touch up the blade on the trusty Sharpmaker, finish it up with some Break Free CLP, and voila!! (If it turns out really nice, I'll update with a new picture.)

In the last pic, I put it side-by-side with its new brother the Wave.

Wish I could serendipitously stumble upon a knife/multi-tool every day, you know?

Oh you know... That one... With pavement... Cars drive on it... Until recently, there was a lost Kick off to the side... ? :D

Dontcha love that feeling? Sad for whoever lost it, but at least it found a good home. :)

ps: I found a SAK Huntsman 17 years ago, cleaned it up, and carried it 'til 2007. Retired it, and lo & behold, found another one, the same month.

well, i sure got a kick reading your lost 'n found post!
good job on the restoration, i think it found itself a deserving new owner.
as for the last owner, he must be kicking his rear end to no end.
 
nice score... I found my very first sak, a tinker in the parking lot of the apartment building my sister in law was moving out of... still have it someplace around here, but it as the start of my addiction... errr COLLECTION.. :D
