Well, My First Sebenza is ordered...

It will cost me my three Spyderco Crickets, two Spyderco Q's and some change, but my Regular Flat-Grind BG-42 Sebenza is ordered.

So hopefully I will get it in about 2 weeks.

Anyway, thanks to everybody for the excellent information supplied in this forum.

Congrats on your Sebenza, and a flat grind to boot. Only 9 more to be made with the flat blade. Did you order any enhancements such as duel thumb studs, polished blade, or a swedge? Let us know.

K-Guy, this one comes from a retailer. So 10 more to go I guess.
Maybe if I ever need to send it back for servicing, I will order the flat part of the blade to be polished.
And, what is a swedge?

A swedge is the short grind on top of the blade from the tip back a little ways. It can be sharpened or unsharpened, but it makes for a pointier and more useful blade IMHO.

Yeah, Danbo nailed it! I like the swedge(unsharpened). I like to use my large Sebbie to field dress deer, so the swedge helps with penetration. Looks pretty cool too! The polish will look nice on the flat blade. Consider the double thumb studs as well. A great feature when having to switch hands...
