I escaped with no bites from my Izula even though i wrapped it with paracord in the sheath (hadnt read all the horror stories yet)...
But today I got bit by my ESEE 6. Got it in the mail Tuesday, and have been itching to go out in the woods ever since. About halfway through making a bow and arrow (no not with an esee arrowhead, just one out a mil-issue survival kit), it slipped and tagged me right in the finger. It wasnt bad, as I was able to stop the knifes momentum before it did any real damage. I completely accept that it was my fault though, I was using the wrong tool for the job, and even though I knew in the back of my mind that i should have been doing it a different way, I didnt. Lesson learned.
But it has now tasted blood. And for those who own it, you know its a big blade. I think I might have been able to take on the Izula, but now the 6 is out for blood and im screwed....
No pics of the bite, it wasn't that bad. Here is the blade out in the back yard.
BTW - I love this blade. By far the best blade i have ever held, owned and now used. My katana sits on the shelf looking pretty, and this thing has looks as well as purpose. Cant wait to get out there and use it some more.
