Hi All,
I found the following today, and I think it is Very Worthwhile to read and ponder.

"It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

And I really like the following:

"A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to, and including my life."

I have never had the Honor and Privilege of serving Our United States in a Military capacity, but I have Nothing but Respect and Thankfulness for those that do/did.

i'm a veteran sexagenarian - does that mean i can fix your dog's reproductive problems?

(the devil made me do it)

no, been a veteran for a very long time tho.

only been a sexygenarian for 2 yrs.

yes, i am a vegetarian.

some ramblings*: (you get that way when you hit 60)

yes, i am a vegetarian, tho i prefer to eat dairy products, or fish. or poultry. or ruminants. i draw the line at annelids tho. (unless i don't know they are in there). some insects are also OK. suidae are my favourite tho.

as his holiness, WC Fields once said, ' i love children, i just don't think i could eat a whole one.'

adult humans are too stringy & high in cholesterol.

i belong to PETA

(people eating tasty animals)

is coffee with non-dairy creamer & aspartame animal or vegetable? ah, well, to compliment it i'll fry an egg and a toulouse pork sausage to make sure. and a crumpet with buttery spread & apricot jam.

i let the dogs out last evening before i went to bed, they insisted. when i opened the door i could hear a deer squealing in great distress in the woods across the way. dogs wanted to go there in the worst way but stayed within my fence. will walk them over that way later this morning & see if we can have venison for lunch. deer only eat vegetables, and carnivores do not - as i do not eat carnivores i am thus an indirect vegetarian.

p.s. - road kill is a cheap and handy pension supplement.

* not this kind

hippies are definitely more stringy than most, something to do with all that hair.
they are high cholesterol due to all the avocados in their guacamole.
would you want to eat one?

this one is definitely high cholesterol

of course, some of them might be tasty, after you wash them.
