I find items 3 and 4 to be in poor taste. Kershaw has very fair prices and what's further, their representatives are very kind to us here.

Just some food for thought.

Honestly, I don’t mind the prices one bit. I’d rather pay a little more and have the best customer service in the business then pay less and be out in the cold when I have a problem with my knife.

Just my $.02

But, yes I’d like to see some more carry options (left, right, tip-up/down…).

you've got a point. I just have a tendency to be low on money (hooray for student budgets)
 
When I read this, I typed a long and somewhat strong response...but after thinking about it, it's not worth it. So I'll answer your questions:

1) NO. If I want that mod, I'll call STR
2) NO. If I want that mod, I'll call STR
3) NO. I'm completely satisfied with the product Kershaw produces, and think their pricing is more than fair for what you get. And spiral's right...poor taste.

5) CF is not the Holy Grail. I'd rather see resources spent on the R&D of the existing line, or putting these assets into development of newer steels and composite blades.

To be fair bookworm, you've called Thomas out once, and to now tell him that he should "start placing orders for more CF" is a bit out of line. Do you really know what Thomas does? Thomas probably has more experience in the knife world than you, and I know he has more than me. So I don't question the Coach's calls...let's hope this is all a result of youthful exuberance, and you begin to learn the beneficial differences Kershaw provides over other knife makers.

And if you would like to start a poll, pay up for the membership. It's not that much, it supports the infrastructure for BF, and I'm sure Spark would appreciate it.

If you actually thought I was being serious about the cf thing, i doubt that 7 people voting on ANYTHING will sway his decision (unless its 7 members of the supreme court) I already admitted that the price questions were in bad taste and removed them.

I guarantee he has more experience that I do, yes it is youthful exuberance. I'm rarely 100% serious. I'm not questioning his calls, if there's something I'd like to see, I almost always suggest it as a "you/they should xxxxx." I know I don't have influence over what happens in the kershaw factory, I don't mean to be rude, I'm new to this, I'm learning. I'll pay up for a membership soon, along with one from kniferights, but I need a paycheck first. If I've done something offensive to you, I apologize, but you should realize that most things that are in that tone I say in the tone of ":D:D:D:p:p:p:p" not actual sincerity. I hope this can avoid future confilct between us. If you have anything you'd like to suggest to help me be less offensive, shoot me an email at BookwormDOTrATgmailDOTcom.

edit: could you also clarify for me when it was I called Thomas out before? I honestly have no clue what you're referring to.
 
bookworm, we're cool...It just seemed that you've come across a little heavy...I'll look for the post between you and Thomas, but it had to do with the steel of a particular Kershaw...Thomas said is was xxx, you said it wasn't and posted a pic of the Kershaw site with the steel circled and then told Thomas to change the description, and he replied Yes Sir! I believe it was around the time that he was talking about the (possibly empty?) bottle of scotch...here it is...http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525667

Ya gotta understand, a lot of us are, well, protective of Thomas. I know, he's a grown man and can take care of himself, but when other forumites and newcomers start to give him and Kershaw a hard time, well, there's a few of us here that get a little rilled up.. He has been good to us...

But after digesting your reply, I can understand the youthful exuberance. Hell, I'm, well, old, and I still get excited! But you're fairly new here, and perhaps I haven't picked up on your posting nuances...half the time I'm a smart ass myself, either poking at someone or just trying to stir up trouble in general! I'm surprised that these guys put up with me in the first place!

As for paying for the membership, when you can afford it, if you want to, do it! There's a ton of info on this site, and the few bucks it costs to support it is worth it to me...

But to me, all is well...enough said...

don't bother looking it up. I know what you're talking about. I could've phrased that better, though he admitted there was an error in the site. I was just sorta excited that I caught an error made by Kershaw (I mean, come on, how many times does that happen?).
