My day
1- bearing froze up on the tracking wheel
2- new bearing are runin hot ,not warm but HOT
3- cut,burned an jam all on the same finger
4- some f###kin a$$ put a 14in or so scratch an
crease in the truck. I would`nt had mined if
it was an old truck but it`s a 2000.
5- got two orders for for carvers with fork. Some
one thinks I`m a knifemaker,boy do I have him fool:rolleyes:

Other then that my day was great
 
Hey Sylvester, you shoulda seen me the morning I broke the fork I was making... Course, everything else went okay and my truck's so rusty no one bothers to dent it. :D

Some days, as they say, if it weren't for bad luck we wouldn't have any luck at all.

Dave , thats all I have is bad luck. But hey
life is good because I`m doin what I want.
This will be set 3 & 4 of carvers in the past
to weeks. People must be hungry;)

I need to be in the shop an not at this darn thing.
But, I would`nt say it`s hot but I saw a bird blow
on a worm before he ate it:D
 
At least it can't get much worse!:) Post some pics of them carvers and forks when you get them made.
 
Sounds like you are having the bad luck like i was having last summer.Still have a few things mess me up now but not as bad as last year.
Had to stop grinding and let the platten cool off today as it was so hot in the shop that when I was grinding I swear I seen smoke coming off the steel platen :eek:
The shop was running almost 110 today and that was with 2 big fans running.I may have to start working nights..

You guys should come to Denmark and work for a while. It's only half as warm as it is surposed to be in July and it has been raining for the last couple of weeks - perfect shopweather. :D
I have a gardenparty and our annual "survivaltrip" this weekend - we'll probably all drown.

Most Of You know of my problems with my wifes health and you dont expect things to get much worse but they do. last week i'm making my exit off the interstate and go to hit the brakes in my POS 70 vw bug and guess what? NO BRAKES or emergency brakes.I do a creative down shift and hit the side of the road and make a turn at the intersection that probably wet a few depends(mine included).I get the thing home finally and I'm a nervous wreck.2 wheel cylinders blew out!
So I have to ride my motorcycle to work now.Yesterday the gaurd at the base reminds me of the fact that my inspection expires this month.I give the bike a onceover at lunch time and I need a new front tire and brake pads front and rear.Thats just freaking great!!
Oh it gets better.My boss comes over at lunch an tells me that I cant take the 5 of July off because we are to short handed. This is B.S.He just doesnt want to cover me that day because he would have to get up earlier to cover me and he doesnt get overtime because he is salary,Well B00-Hoo.He should have thought of that before he accepted the supervisory job.
Later in the work day Deb calls and says her care wont start.I get home and the battery is low. I jumpstart it with the vw batery and carry it to autozone for them to check it, Bad battery.GO home Crappy dinner, kick dog,Cut thumb and finger on knife,super glue it,Go to bed,Say a little prayer and thank God for another Day that could have been much worse.I'm still alive and am loved.

I'll forward you the letter I just got from the IRS. Icing on the cake!! Days like that sure make you appreciate the good ones.

Three years ago the family and I went to VA for Vacation
First going though NH I lost the alt on the car,
traffic jam in NJ I mean a Jam!!!
hotter then Hell with air going on the fritz.
In VA me and the boys got caught in rip-tide,,, that was the
worst,, I damn near lost my youngest and myself in that one.
we got home safe (thank God,) and the wife said no hot water (the reg. went)
in it,
then the septic backed up,
The trucks gas tank with-in the time we were gone sprung a leak.
and I booted up the new computer of 3 months to fine
I lost the hard drive
NOW this was all in just under 2 weeks and it didn't stop there.
but did get better as time went on.
the bad luck monkey was on my A$$ big time.
 
Peter done that last year, but mine was from the
state. It was kind of funny to it was a week after
they said the state was about broke. It was for
taxes that was 3 yrs ago:grumpy:

The crap we put up with everyday Life it seems
that everyone is against us..they sent a letter ay.
and not the FBI CIA DPA ATF CCA ARP NECKA
and ABC's so your not too
much of an outlaw I'd say.I just pay a Lawyer a retainer
of $750.00 to get some squatters out of a house of mine
they bounced a $7000.00 check on me after they moved in.
That sucks and it's not over, you should see the place.

SCHHHHHHH Dan. Don't make em mad. Besides, IRS people don't make knives, they steal them. :mad: :mad: :grumpy: I am afraid of very few things in this life but.......I'm scared to death of them. Never had any trouble with them but I used to see what they could get away with and it is just inhuman. If I'd tried stunts like they pull, I would have been fired and then put under the jail.:barf: :grumpy: :mad: If they had their way we would have to put serial numbers on all our knives to be sure we paid the tax on them!:mad: :mad:
 
The USPS is in on it too.
Taxes? That's blood money with knives, :eek: I cut myself
at least once on 98% of them, I thought I got away
clean on the last one but remembered
I ground my knuckle on this one. :(
