Thank you Jody,

Made a couple sheaths for this long old thing.

Over a year ago I got a hold of my old friend Rob Criswell, and asked him about a sword sheath style he used to make (he has since quit making them in this style) that was a segmented style sheath that bolted together. He told me he no longer uses that style and I could feel free to use that style.

What he does now is a G-10 laminated together, more in the style of the old wood laminated sheaths, very nice and strong.
Well, after getting the permission of the guy who came up with the concept, I took the concept and changed a few things, making it a bit different.

It works great for this big old thing.

I present the longest sheath I have ever made :)

Wow very nice Dave, I bet that was a lot of work!!! I actually made a similar sheath for my ASHBMS because I only have a tiny toaster style oven and it was the only way I could manage to get around the problem. Very cool!!!

I will at some point evidently Need to hold the long Busse Sword, right now my Criswell holds that spot, a Good Looking sheath you have there, I had the segmented on earlier Criswells, my current is the G-10 maybe 8 years old.

Your innovations are always impressive to me--so is the length of that thing. Great thinking beautifully executed. :thumbup:

Excellent work there Mr.Brown!!!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

Elegant solution for a long dilemma! :)

I remember those Criswell scabbards and thinking they looked so cool, like medieval armor.

Now thats a sheath !
Largest I've ever seen for sure.

You did a great job, David :thumbup:

I've never heard of using a G-10 laminate for a sheath. Sounds like it would make for one tough sheath.
