We have tons of pics of awsome new Spydys, lets get some pics of our well used worn down ones!!

Due to the glare it's hard to see how much but my Dragonfly has been a real work horse!

My user Dragonfly is getting a little short.

All of these have seen a bit of use.

Bad photo, but these two Enduras are pretty beat.

I've got a couple.

There's a still mostly new D4, and old Delica with replaced clip (J-B Weld and coat-hanger wire!), Native, and flea market found Jester. These pics are a couple months old, they don't show that last night I cleaned the paint from the clip on the D4. I think it looks much better without the paint.

aw, man, don't tease us! you gotta post a pic of the DIY clip!

I love these 'show your beat-up spyder' threads. a little scuffing here, some rounded serrations there, but half the photos ALWAYS look NIB.

With a little bit of care and some judicious cleaning, it's possible to use the heck out of a knife without trashing it.

Especially when the knife is as well made as most Spydies.

My Endura has seen a lot of pocket time. So has the D4 and the Meadowlark. Don't know if you can tell in the pic.

Showing off the cleaned up D4 clip too. I just scoured it with 3-in-1 oil and 4-ought steel wool til the paint wore off (it was already scratched up pretty badly, as can be seen in the previous post). I like that look enough that I'm gonna do it to the Native too, eventually. It doesn't stand out as much as the plain black.

That PE Mariner is even uglier now that I thinned it out, but it cuts a lot better. The edge bevel in the picture is forty degrees.

Every time I post this picture I get a lot of angst from certain people. On the other Spyderco forum, this knife still gets remarks. I carry it at least three or four times a week. I still maintain this gunting remake is a better SD knife, and way better utility knife, than the original. It waves open, or most of time, just gets thumbed open. The clips been moved to make the knife tip up, and so it doesn't stick four feet out the pocket like the original configuration.

How's this for tough... I dropped the knife waving it open. It stuck in our wood floor and bent the tip over quite a bit. I gripped the tip w/ some leatherman pliers, and bent the tip back to true. Can't even tell it was damaged.

Thanks for Listening,
bob7
