Well I had another nice day on the Little Red River yesterday so I thought I'd post some pics. I took off this week and thought a nice day on the river was in order. Best day of trout fishing I've ever had as far as quality. I've had outings where I've caught more fish, but never this many good ones. We caught about 8 - 10 Browns over 16 inches between us, at least 4 of those topped 20 inches. Knives included in the pics of course! In the solo pic you'll see my Vic Sak Classic hanging from my lanyard and in the two fish pic I've got my new McDonald Bird and Trout. The two fish pic was a double we landed which was pretty cool he caught the female at the top of the pic and the male below was mine. Thought that pic turned out well and made it my Avatar. Pic three was the fish of the day, unfortunately caught by a buddy of mine. At around 24inches that fish topped my 21 inch which also happened to be the biggest trout I've landed on my fly rod with a fly that I tied. Although the knives were out no fish were harmed. Strictly catch and release on the native brown trout for me. I also had a Moore Maker double lock back in my pocket just for good measure.
