ok, so i admit, Busse/Swamp rat has intrigued me. i just had to! Anyone had any problems with these? I plan on using it as a light duty edc in my rotation....

Edit, currently own a hellrazor, a ratweiller and soon a new rat trap!

Many thanks to Bordershift for hooking me up. cant wait to get it.

Hi Thicket,

CongRATS on your new purchase!

I'm confident that you'll be very pleased with the Rat Trap. It's super thin, but packs a large blade. S30V's strenths are in edge retention and it's a killer slicer. The only time that people have gotten into trouble with this knife is when prying or performing similar tasks that require significant lateral blade strength. S30V just isn't the best steel for those uses.

Let us know what you think once you get it...and post action pics of your Rat family. We like that! :D

As long as you don't baton is through the door of a '74 GMC pickup, you should be just fine... ;)

Schuey! LOL! I dig S30v so i was pretty happy it came in that. i should get it next weekish, im sure ill post some use pics, i like the testing almost as much as the buying ;)

IMHO the RT is one of the best value for the money blades out there. I like the choice of the S30V because of it's strong points. It's not great for prying, but as many of us have found out the hard way, folders are just not pry bars. I have been carrying mine now for about two months and using it constantly. It has a very slim profile in the pocket, and sharpens back up quickly.
