Welsh Trench Sword.jpgHi, guys!

Quick question on a Welsh trench sword Repro....I found two companies that carry it, IMA-USA and Atlanta Cutlery. Both about the same price (~$100); don't look appreciably different. I realize from the price range that they both could come from the same general location and be of the same quality; but I kind of like the design, so I figured I would try one. Based on the pics, I'm leaning toward the IMA-USA one, since it looks a bit more like the pictures of the originals.

Does anyone have either one? Any opinions on it? Any opinions on either company's products?

Thanks!

The two companies partnered on the trove of Khukuris and firearms found in Nepal a few years ago. Atlanta is owned by an actual maker in India, Windlass. Odds are, Windlass makes the item for both brands.

The original Smatchet.

Yeah, my thoughts, too! That one of the reasons I like the design. Love to get an authentic one; but from what I've heard there aren't a whole lot of them around, and they're apt to be pricey.

I figured as much....looks like I'll probably just look at some of the other stuff from each company, and order from whichever company has other things I'd like to get, to combine the shipping.
