Wenger blockable

That one looks like it´s three springs wide, there are other models as you can see here:

http://www.swiss-knife.com/EN/SK/special_range/lockblades.html

Apparently none with only one spring though.

I have one and the lock does not hold well but I have seen another one that was good. I don´t have it with me right now but I believe it is similar in length to some of the Vics, about 84 mm.

I don´t like the position of the lever to release the lock, I feel it gets in the way of a comfortable hold and could be pressed and released accidentally

There´s much discussion about the difference in quality between Wenger and Victorinox, personally I think they are both fine.

Both VIC and Wenger make great products to be sure.
IMHO Wenger is the better choice due to the superior scissors, locking blade, locking screwdriver.........
I have owned a number of Wengers locking blade models and Don is right about it being a little uncomfortable......but I have yet to have a lock fail yet!

Hello Faca,

I have bought the model you are mentionning in that very shop (it happens I live nearby).

The lock is indeed a little unconfortable, but it is a small price to pay so save one's fingers :) . I really dont see how the lock could accidentally disengage. On my knive, it is rock-solid. The again, it is always possible that the tolerances might be too loose on a production batch.

This model is 3 springs thick.

In my opinion, the fit and finish is very slightly inferior to Victorinox, but it is still extremely good.
