Anybody using the Wenger linerlocks with the clip-point blades? I have been considering a model I've seen on sale for about a month. It has the same items as the Vic Trekker(Quartermaster?) and a black plastic handle. Its been spiced less than the trekkers and includes a free case. I'd like to take advantage of the deal, especially since its the only one Ive ever seen. On the other hand $10 is'nt much savings if it not as good.

clip-blade
saw
bottle/flathead
can/flathead
philips
reamer(maybe)

i think the one you describe is a knife that i have. i bought it in switzerland years ago when i was travelling there. it has a little switch to move the liner, right? i havent put mine through especially hard use... mainly camp chores. but it's been really great thus far =)

I ended up buying it since it was cheap for one with a saw, and the it came with a free pouch. Not as cute as the Vic versions, but for the amount of time I need the locking knife it shall serve its purpose. I'd regret not buying it anyways.

Sorry it's one of those push-button locks. My mistake. It was about $25U.S where a Vic Trekker is about $42. I just got it at a knife shop near my office. They seem to have mainly current Vic stuff but sell some older mint-condition Wenger models minus the boxes.

If it has a serrated blade it is probably a new Ranger 156, with a plain blade, it is a 56. (may have different names in Japan).

Ah I wish! I recently discovered how to navigate the Wenger site and its a old Ranger 06. The shop had no model name for it. Only the word "Sale" and a new knife inside a dusty pouch. I initially felt the blade was'nt SAK looking enough for me but have grown used to it over the week.
