These are the largest of the Swiss Army folding knives I know of with a main blade almost 4" long. This is about 1/2" longer thn the largest Victorinox SAK versions I have seen. They are available in configurations from a single blade up to versions with 4 subsections and about 7 or 8 fold out implements. The simplest versions start in the $25 price range on Amazon. Generally a lot fewer dealers handle the Wenger knives compared to the Victorinox versions and the Wengers are going to be disappearing per a thread I have seen here.

The large Wenger & Victorinox knives are different in design in that the main blade is both a classic slip spring design but it also incorporates a blade lock. In the case of the Wenger Rangers this is a liner lock but with an external unlock button incorporated into the white cross Swiss flag logo on the scale. Press the flag button to release the liner lock for closing. This is NOT mentioned clearly in the brochure that comes with the knives, causing one totally erroneous review on Amazon.

The large Wenger SAKs seem to me to be kind of ignored knives. I suspect that this is due to their being considered to be too large and heavy to be carried as pocket knives. They reallly are more sheath knives IMO and knife sheaths for folding knives have gone out of fashion it seems.

Any other members enthusiasts for the larger SAKs from either Wenger or Victorinox?

I'm thinking about picking up a Wenger ranger 51. Looks comparable to other folders.

I'm also curious about this...Anyone have any opinions on these?

I had a Victorinox NS Trekker for a while. Used it as my EDC. Great knife. Too bad I lost it at work.
