I was just looking over the Wenger Ranger series knives. They get so close to having a perfect trail folder, but lose it on the options. The 172 model got me all excited until I saw the serrated blade.

I'd love to see a one-hand plain blade with scissors, awl, saw, and can opener. The flat and Phillips screwdrivers would be nice, but not at the top of my list for trail stuff.

Hey Dale..

Yaa those are nice....

Agreed on the serrations...

At least the kept them off the tip...

I would prefer to see a 30/70 blade 30% being serrations at the back,, or better yet, None at all...

Decent looking knives..

Now if they'd only come with pocket clips!!!

Just checked out thier website, that ranger is nice. I didn't know they actually sold that giant swiss army knife. And for only $1200! that thing is 8 3/4" wide. I'm gettin' one!

I would love to get the Ranger 57 but on their site it says that it has a phillips screwdriver on the back, and other sites it has a corkscrew....

Does anybody know which one it has?

I'm surprised they don't have a direct competitor to the Vic OH Trekker.
The Trekker has just the right amount and type of features IMHO.

My fiance got me the OHT for my birthday. I love it but the serrated blade is just.....wrong.

I have one of the SwissBuck's from way back when that was made for Buck by Wenger, and it looks similar to those, but doesn't have the serrations. I like the clip blade that it has.

What about this-

There nice, but I still prefer the Vic Farmer. The Farmer has a nice blade, great saw, and the awl is the best tool for sparking a FireSteel out there.

Well don't say anything! If you found a girl with good habits like that, you don't want to change her! Elope! :D
