Hi all,
today I received the Wenger RangerWood 55 that I ordered few days ago from on e-bay from gartenheld24 (great service, 4 days and the knife was at my door)

Specs:
Weight: 158 g
Size: 130 mm

I need to say that the look of this knife really like to me. The blade is a full 4” (103mm), 3mm thick, I find it ideal for outdoor use

The knife closed, it0s long 130mm and thick 25mm

Fit and finish are absolutely gorgeous

The handles are from walnut, and from Wenger site “The handles for each of these pocketknives are constructed from sustainable top quality walnut using what would otherwise be waste material from other production processes.” Not bad at all.
The maintenance suggested by Wenger is as follows: “The scales of the EvoWood models are made of wood, a living material which sometimes needs to be treated to maintain its natural feel and look. The best way to clean them is by using wax or natural oil. Apply the wax or oil very lightly to the surface. Regular maintenance will enhance the natural characteristics of the wood for years to come.”

The button with the Wenger cross on the left side of the handle: when you push it the liner-lock system is disengaged so you may bend the blade

The 10 tools: blade (with safety lock system), wood saw, reamer, flat screwdriver (with safety lock system), cap lifter, wire bender, can opener, sewing needle, corkscrew, key ring

How about some performances: I used just the wood’s saw and the blade till now, and they just works great

The handles are just comfortable, and the walnut wood give a cool feeling.

Ciao,
Alfredo

That's a good looking knife and a nice write up too. I'd really enjoy one without the cork screw. Or maybe I'd just have to pick up drinking wine?
