I know it's been said that the Wenger Standard Issue has been discontinued. But I'm a little confused as to what exactly that means. As of right now it seems it is still available for sale at a number of retailers, some at a slightly higher than normal price and some at apparently the normal price. Does being discontinued mean it is never to be made again at all, not even under a different model name or something? I understand if that's not really an answerable question but I am interested to know any information that anyone has. I have spent some time reading around the net and still find myself unsure as to what discontinued means. A store near me has them still for sale.

Yes, SI has been discontinued, which means it will never be made again. Whatever you can find online is the leftover stock from 2013 and prior production.
