Anyone ever see one of these before?

Was hoping someone had one, and could give a report on quality.... Thanks guys!
I wanted a knife made in Germany, and I could snag one of these for around 15 Eur right now....

Are you sure it's German? Anybody can stamp "rostfrei", and the name looks suspiciously like "Wenger". I google "weniker" knives and find nothing.

There is no I in the name, it's W E N K E R, but I still couldn't find anything on them.

No, I'm not sure it's German...

It does not look German to me my friend, it looks suspiciously like China perhaps Pakistan, I would keep an eye out for your better known Brands if you did want a Solingen knife-there tons of them out there.

By chance, I actually fixed an exact copy of this knife last Wednesday. It was a knife that was kept in the work Ute's ashtray, and had been used and sharpened so much I had to file the kick to lower the blade, and had to peen the mail blade because it had nearly a millimeter of blade-play. The gimping and nail nick placement are both identical on both knives, but the one I fixed only had stainless stamped on the tang. (also, the knife pictured is in much better condition)

Looks like one of many clones of a KA-BAR 1189 or 1199 lockback, right down to the blade grind, large nick forward of the 'clipped' hump on the blade, and the 7 notches in the jimping on the spine. The KA-BAR is a bigger knife than mentioned above (sized like a Buck 110; blade length on mine is 3-3/4"), but aesthetically nearly identical. I have an 1199 with wood (maybe rosewood) handles; many also came in stag. Here are a couple of pics of the 1189 below, found from a listing on the 'auction site'; this one looks essentially identical to mine, save for the model number:

Many copies/knock-offs/clones of the Buck 110-style knives were produced back in the '70s/'80s/'90s; Case, Schrade and KA-BAR also had their own similar, but still unique patterns. Doesn't surprise me to see another one. I seem to recall seeing another post of a KA-BAR look-alike a while back (the deeply-notched jimping makes them stand out), but don't remember what the 'brand' or origin was (likely Japan or Pakistan, but maybe China).
