I had no intention of looking for a an original satin SK-5 Tigershark, but when an opportunity presents itself why pass it up :)

About three weeks ago I stumbled upon this Tigershark swimming around and at first didnt give it a second thought. The next evening I remembered reading some posts about the originals in satin and thought why not pick one up and see it for myself rather than only photos. A decision which was well worth it.

The box took me back in time. If you have ever caught a nose full of a cardboard box that has sat on wood floors for years it has a very distinct scent which will catapult you back into memories. I have no way of knowing but I'd sure bet this Tigershark box has been sitting in a similar room for quite some time.

I think I've only owned one tigershark a few years back which was coated and I must say this blade rightfully deserves to be in satin. The pics dont do the blade justice. The SK-5 has a nice soft natural personality to it with the Tigershark's grind lines. This knife screams 'I can stand alone with my own character and charisma' I'm glad I didnt 'keep on walking' and miss the chance to see one in person.

Incredibly sexy knife...

WOW! You're a lucky man! Where'd you find it? I keep my eyes peeled for those!

Thanks all, I'm glad people have been talking about them in threads lately else I would not have paid any attention, lol

Not on this site :( it was truly pure dumb luck that I stumbled across it. Best of luck finding one...it has an entirely different personality than the current versions from what I can see.

Now I can get back to some of the more current folders that have caught my eye :) Mmmmm, Bluto :D
