So I was out walkigng in the woods today, taking my new becker for some excercise. When I came around the corner and ran into another outdoorsman. We got to talking gear, and it turns out he is an avid becker user and fan. This excited me very much, and it was clear that he had much more experience than I do so I was eager to learn some new tricks, and get some sage wilderness advice. He showed me how he field sharpens his knife(pretty basic, just uses a smooth rock). He showed me some fire making tricks( seamed a little crude, but worked just fine). Then he showed me some food gathering, and trap making. This was great, since it was obvious he knew how to trap/catch his own food, and survive in the wild, and be quite comfortable while doing so. I spent most of the afternoon with him, admiring his skill and knowledge when it started to get dark. So naturally he said "now it's time to learn how to make a great shelter". He was very strong and he used that to his advantage by pulling down branches n such. The next morning I thanked him for his knowledge and tips, and bid him adieu. It was a once in a lifetime experience, that I will never forget
