Went For A Walk This Weekend

My girlfriend and I decided to walk a few miles to the creek this past weekend. Nothing too crazy as we stuck to the local trail for the most part and you can see the houses in the background of some of the pictures. The creek provides just enough of a wilderness fix until I can get out to the local hiking/camping areas. I forgot to take pictures of my knife in action (Spyderco Tenacious I have been EDC-ing for a few weeks now) as I didn't really do much with it but carve our names in the fallen tree and scrape off some bark. Luckily, or unluckily for my knife, we didn't get stranded so there was no need for survival skills haha. We had fun and it was great to get out for a bit. I hope you don't mind me sharing.

i'd love to have something like that in my backyard...i'd probably sleep out there more often than in my bedroom, heh.
 
Great pics man, thanks for sharing. I love the wear in those rocks and wish I had something like that close to home. You don't have to be in deep woods to get a fix, I used to sit by a creek in a small patch of woods in the middle of a major urban area in Dallas Texas
 
Of course we don't mind, most of us really enjoy it. And I know I can speak for at least a couple of people who are stuck in the city like me way too much and use these posts as mental getaways:D But next time, make sure you have some knifege for us,lol ;)
