Well I finally went and did it. With 500 posts creaping up I got off my butt and sprang for a Gold membership. Just being able to search Mr Levine's forum is worth the cash,don't know why I didn't do it sooner.
So to celebrate my membership upgrade and my huge milestone of 500 posts
I feel like doing a giveaway. I have been racking my brain and digging through my pitiful collection to find a suitable prize. And most important, one my son will allow me to giveaway since he considers my collection to be his when I pass on 
I (with Nick's perrmission) finally decided on a knife.
It had to have a "relationship" to me. So I chose one made in my home state.:thumbup: (Meriden,Ct)
It had to be "unique" pattern not generally seen on this sub forum. So it is a fob/pen jeweler's skeleton.
And it had to relate to why I am doing the giveaway, so it is made from gold. Well not really..a solid gold bail and gold leaf on the scales. No idea what the base metal of the scales are.
So here it is....Meriden Knife Co (ca 1917-1932) ,unknown jeweler.
Ok...now for the rules.
You must have 25 posts in the Traditional,Schrade Collectors (my first BF home) or Mr Levine's forum. Or a 25 post combination of those forums.
This giveaway will run to midnight EST on Wednesday July 29th. Pick a number from 1-1000 in your post and I will do the random number generator thingy to select the winner. One number per member.
Also ,while this knife won't allow you to retire if you hock/sell it
, it isn't exactly what I consider a "user knife". Of course the winner is allowed to do whatever he/she wishes with his/her property.
