Well, I went on a bit of a spending spree though I did do quite a bit of bargain hunting so I didn't pay full retail by any means.

I'm really happy I could add all these fine knives to my collection though one of the knives is actually for my kid sister.

First, I really wanted this particular color so I searched and searched until I found it at a reasonable price.

Next I got the Kershaw 1980 RJII Tanto Assisted Opening

This next knife you guys may laugh at but I've recently become a fan of these. The blades are quite nice, the attention to detail is great and the knife just feels good in your/my hand. They are also extremely affordable because I guess the word hasn't gotten out about these yet. Yes, they are Chinese made but it's one of the better made Chinese products.

Finally I was able to get a really good deal on this Spyderco.

I can't wait for these knives to arrive in the mail, it'll be like Christmas only better. Well, maybe better presents from me to me anyway.

So what do you guys think? Nice little collection of folders and Assisted Flippers? Yes, there are more expensive knives but I really wanted the ones I got for my collection and one or two will be my EDC.

EDIT: Forgot to mention/post one more knife I recently purchased.

Oh, I also bought a used Case XX 4 blade pocket knife but it's in need of some serious TLC and some repairs. The scales/grip on it is missing on one side and the other one is broken in half but all there. Basically I'll need to fashion a new grip for it and clean it up a bit. If I can find someplace that sells knife parts then that would be my preferred method of bringing this knife back to life.

Several nice scores there. You'll find that the very diminutive Spyderco Bug is a very handy knife to have.

No reason to laugh at the congress. My favorite looking out of the bunch. I also have started to gravitate to the traditional slip joints.

Yeah that's what I'm hearing from a lot of the guys around here. Seems like the Spyderco has quite the following. I still wouldn't call it an "attractive" knife but that probably doesn't matter considering the alleged quality everyone keeps telling me about. It'll most likely become my EDC along with the Kershaw Leek when I'm out walking my dog. You know, one hand knife opening and all that.

Yeah, I think that the Pride Cutlery knives are really pretty and they are actually very solid. I bought one a couple of weeks ago, it's the Abalone Congress and I like it so much that when I saw a second one on Ebay for $5 I had to get it and it's great that it's a different style as variety is the spice of life.

I highly recommend everyone trying these out, they may not out perform the Spyderco but they are pretty nice, mid level knives. One thing for sure is that they are very aesthetically pleasing.

Even if you just toss this knife in your glove compartment so you've always got a knife handy then that's good too as they are truly capable of holding an edge and will get most common jobs done no problem.

I knew I was forgetting something. There is one more knife that I bought in the last couple of days that I failed to mention or list in the OP.

I don't carry my Leek very often these days but that blue/black version always catches my eye. I'd probably work it into the rotation if I had one. Nice bunch'a knives you've got there!

I'm a huge KA-BAR fan and own multiple Warthog FBs, so I'm allowed to say that I think the Warthog folders are the damn goofiest looking things I've ever seen! How does it actually perform?

Like the handle on the leek and the kershaw tanto looks cool. Enjoy the buys!

Grats on the haul! Nice congress. My first Rough Rider (a deluxe Barlow) should be here next week sometime, maybe I will check out that Pride Cutlery next. It is a bit disturbing that a chinese made knife would have so much American Flag themed stuff on the box, normally that would give me pause, but if you say they are good, why not eh?

I'm glad someone went on a knife buying spree. I have been holding myself back for some time now

Thanks guys, I really had a lot of fun going on a spending spree of sorts.

@ allyourblood, Thanks I appreciate that. I'm definitely eager for these knives to arrive in the mail and the waiting really is the hardest part. That Leek was just calling to me when I saw it so I'll definitely be putting it in the rotation.

@ BRL, I don't know yet how the Ka-Bar is but once it arrives I'll be sure to update this thread. It is a little bit goofy looking but I guess that's part of it's character.

@ rpl, That anodized aluminum Leek immediately grabbed my attention and even though I had to spend a little bit more to get that particular one I just knew that that was the knife I wanted and getting a different one would have caused me to have regrets that I didn't get the one I really wanted. You know what I mean? It's the same knife and all but it's not THE KNIFE you wanted specifically.

@ bobsux, when I bought my first Pride Cutlery I was honestly expecting an American made knife so that "Americana" on the box is a bit of promotional deception. I think they are darn good knives, just don't expect it to outperform one of the established top brands and you won't be disappointed. One thing is certain, the Pride Cutlery knives can NOT be beat for the price. You get quite a good bit of quality for just a few bucks.

Roughrider sounds like it should be pretty sweet so let me know how you like it once it comes in the mail.

@Tjc, believe me when I say it was my pleasure sharing with you guys.

@ Trail Edge, it really was a lot of fun to just go a little crazy with the credit card and buying all these knives. Aside from that I'm contributing to rebuilding the economy so I guess we all win with my latest buying spree. LOL
