Took my Dad to Cabelas today and used some gift certificates from Christmas time.
Picked up a Proline finger grooved 110! It's going to be my new hunting ,fishing and woods bummimg knife.
I usually dislike finger grooved handles but the Bucks feel really good in my hand.
I also have the finger grooved 112 and I like it also.
Can't wait to put the new one to the test.
Trout season opens next Sat. and its only 3 weeks til Sping Gobbler.
Hope I get to try it out.
I've been a Buck fan since I was a kid , in my neck of the woods a Buck was the knife to have. I remember going to hunting camp when I was 10 and all the guys had Buck 110s.
The 309 seemed to be popular as a pocketknife with the same guys.
although I do recall one fan of the Trapper and Kalinga.
Didn't mean to ramble on, just wanted toshare some stories.

I wonder what other kinds of decals you can put on these blades, after you remove the Cabela's decal??? A "New Jersey Guide 110" decal maybe???

I have a bunch of bananas here with "Chiquita" decals on them...maybe a "Chiquitas 110"???

You are off the hook! "Jersey Guide". What a hoot!

I liked his story, but I was hoping that, being from Penn, he'd have Amish connection like that amish chick in that movie "Witness".

Anyway, speaking of Cabela's...today I was about to cook up some Scrapple (from Pennsylvania BTW), and the frying pan handle was loose. The philip screw was coming loose...I reached for my belt and started to unsheath the Alaskan 110. Caught myself and went to the garage for a screwdriver! DOH!
After breakfast I had to have a shot of Jack to snap out my guilt for what I almost did to my poor little eskimo. Then I realized it wasn't noon yet...so I got on the scoot and rode to the bar for a Bud Light.
Anyway, that's my story McNoogie...

Jack before noon!? Bad! 101 proof Wild Turkey is the only acceptable before noon whiskey. I can't remember all the times I got up in the morning and had a few shots of Wild Turkey before going to class (either that or take a bottle of Coke and Jager to class with me).
