I attended the show at the Puyallup Fairgrounds in Washington this weekend. Had a great time. Had the opportunity to meet some pretty nice folks and see some truly nice knives.
For production knives, I picked up a Case Sunfish. Have wanted one for a while, but wanted to see one up close first.
After several trips through the room, I finally came back to Raymond Coon's table and bought an all Damascus folder. A very slim, very nice knife. Even my wife was agreeing I should buy it.
I will try to post pictures when I figure out the new software I had to buy.
UWMitch peaked my wife's interest in customs with his carry knife. She was pretty impressed.
I also saw one of the most impressive folder I have ever seen. Tom Ferry had an awesome little folder. Hopefully someone else took a picture of that one.
Anyone else attend and find anything interesting?
I did have an interesting thought while looking at the supplies table. (Alpha Knife Supply) Did anyone else watch the Iron Chef shows?
Wouldn't it be sort of cool to buy the "ingredients" and select a few knifemakers who wanted to participate. They could make a knife with the materials given that best uses the theme. Auction the knives and split the proceeds between the makers and a good cause.
I know, sounds kind of goofy, but it is really something to look at all the various materials and see possibilies, but not have any skills to do anything...
